TS Tormentor's Divisions.

With some occasional help from a couple of other members, Gordon has spent hours on repairing and polishing the ceremonial crucifix for TS Tormentor Sea Cadets based at Warsash. They were so pleased with the finished item that they invited 2 members from our shed to attend their March Divisions. Having done most of the work, Gordon was an obvious choice and it seemed that I had no say in the matter of being the other one! The Right Honourable Flick Drummond, MP for Meon Valley was their guest of honour. She addressed the Divisions about teamwork and caring for each and then spent time inspecting and talking to every cadet. They also said a huge thank you to Titchfield Men’s Shed a shame they didn't quite get our name correct! The divisions, Continuity Drill Team, who recently came second in a national competition, gave an amazing display marching outside but as much as we enjoyed and appreciated the display Gordon and I couldn't wait to get back inside for a cup of tea. The whole evening was a credit to everyone who is involved in the TS Tormentor Sea Cadets and Gordon and I really enjoyed it Author: Chris Hodgson
