Spit and Polished.

Gordon, with the occasional help of a couple of other members, has spent hours on repairing and polishing this ceremonial life ring for Warsash Sea Cadets. It looks fantastic but hopefully it will just stay as a ceremonial item. I think he might get slightly upset if it ever got wet.

JohnC saw it and as he has been experimenting with some small decorative items, a bit like Balamory or the coloured houses in Richmond Street, Bristol, he decided to add his own miniature version. It just seemed to be the right place to take a picture of it (picture 3).
