The Shed received a request from Westbury Manor Museum to carry out some odds and ends of general maintenance i.e. to re-fix a roller blind, sort out a loose door handle, repair a cupboard door and other similar, small jobs that seem to keep getting overlooked. MickF, JohnR, TimC and I agreed to give it a go.

Arrangements were made for the work be carried out on the 18th January 2023 (amazing planning, it just happened to be the same day that the rest of the guys were preparing for the great evacuation) as the Museum would be closed to the public.

The Museum also had Invited a specialist contractor to convert one of the 1st floor rooms into a special area to allow children to draw on the walls. Mick had the vital job of shadowing (or maybe just watching) the specialist contractor - life can be so hard at times. The museum staff were amazed at the fast-pace with which this work was carried out.
The Shed had promised to return to the Museum when the wall drawing walls came to an end and the room needed to returned to its normal state by removing the paper from the panels, Mick F, Tim C and I packed up our toolboxes and arrived to clear the drawings and carry out other items of maintenance plus finishing fitting the shelving in their store room.

Mick and Tim removed the paper from the panels along with with hundreds of staples, repaired the hand basin hot tap and repaired the radiator casing whilst I finished the shelving.

The reason for only working on a Wednesday is the museum is closed to the public but that suits all of us, it takes the other 6 days to replenish our energy stores.
