Senior Citizens Fair.

The Fareham Men's Shed was invited to show ourselves off at the Fareham Senior Citizens Fair where we had a table to display some of the things that we do. We had leaflets and some application forms which we gave out, interest was such that one of them was filled out on the spot and handed in.

Various other organisations were represented with the basic theme that help in later life is available and should be used. Local clubs, health advice and other groups were there plying their wares along with retirement homes, one of whom has asked us to give a presentation of what FMS is all about.

Chris, Milton and I met the host(ess, not too sure which applies now), Suella Braverman, who seemed to be very supportive of our attempts to help fill a badly needed gap in our social system, the problem is that showing support is obviously welcome but some form of action would be far more useful.

Chris and I managed to grab a cuppa but we were so busy that we had no time to sit down. The two hours just seemed to disappear without trace and I think the fair went very well.
